Writing News — May 6

I’m two-thirds of the way through writing Nuts for Coffee. Woo hoo! I’m well on my way to meeting my June 1st deadline. And I think I just may know who did it. . .

I’m writing a devotional or magazine article every three-four days as well.

Pray through the Bible in a Year Journal will be available for purchase in November, but check out the stunning cover Barbour created! http://www.barbourbooks.com/product/Pray-through-the-Bible-in-a-Year-Journal

I completed the poem-a-day challenge for April and have in fact continued to write a poem every day so far in May. Here’s the poem I wrote on the last day about the month about the experience:

On Completing my first P.A.D. Challenge

Some poems were simply rhythm and rhyme,

Fancy words that missed their point.

Thinking they’d replace the mime.

Action verbs can state viewpoint,

Though my choices aren’t yet prime,

And my lines may disappoint.

Day by day, I’m satisfied:

Solid work, if not so great.

In poem’s garden I’ll abide

Every day a fresh, clean slate.
